Service Details
Edit everything the system holds about one service, its owner, product link, dates, price and billing switches, from a single form, so a correction is made once instead of being chased through several screens.
Opening the Screen
Open a service from Orders › Services. Details is the first tab and opens by default: {admin}/services/detail?id={service}&content=details. It is rendered for every service type; only the tabs beside it differ.
The tab is one form. Nothing is written while you type: every card is saved together by Save Changes at the bottom of the form.
What Is on the Screen
Seven cards are always drawn, plus one that depends on the product type.
| Card | What it controls | When it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Client & Service Management | Owner, order link, client transfer, status actions | Always |
| Product Management | Module, linked product, group, category, service name | Always, module picker on domains only |
| Scheduled Actions | Automatic suspension, cancellation and exemption dates | Always |
| Date Details | Creation, renewal and next due date | Always |
| Billing Details | Invoice link, invoice profile, payment method | Always |
| Pricing Details | Pricing type, price, discount, subscription | Always |
| Optional Actions & Notes | Access restriction, auto terminate, automatic payment, notes | Always |
| Service Delivery | Delivery title, description and deliverable file | Product type special only |
Client & Service Management
The card opens with the owner card of the client, and the order number in its header links to the order behind the service, printed only when there is one. Change Client searches the client list and moves the service on save. Two banners can sit under it: the recorded suspension reason while the service is suspended, and the status message returned by the module, which you close with its own button.
The Manage strip shows every action at once, each carrying the colour of what it does to the service, and marks the one you picked; picking it again clears the choice. One action runs on the next save: Activate (hidden while the service is already active), Suspend, Cancel, Delete, In Progress, Completed, Send Activation Message. In Progress and Completed only move the status, and Send Activation Message opens a panel that only states what will be sent. Suspend, Cancel, Delete and Activate open a panel carrying Send Notification and Apply via API; the API line is hidden when the service has no module, and Suspend also takes a reason. Suspend and Activate arrive with the API box ticked, Cancel and Delete arrive clear, and ticking it on those two opens a confirmation window first.
Product Management
Service Provider is the registrar picker and is drawn for domains only, because other types keep their module on the Management tab. While a transfer request waits at the registrar, a banner reports the last check and offers Check Now, which asks again and reloads the page once the transfer completes.
Linked Product, Service Group and Service Category show the catalogue link and open the matching page when set; category is not drawn for domains. Change opens Product Group and Select New Product, where the second list reloads from the chosen group. Auth (EPP) Code appears only on a domain that carries a transfer code and sits In Progress, and Registration Period reports the registered years as read-only text.
Scheduled Actions
Three dates hand the service to automation. Suspend on This Date and Cancel on This Date are acted on when the day arrives, and clearing a field drops that schedule. Exempt Until works the other way, protecting the service from both until the date passes, which is what a client asking for extra payment time gets. A cancelled hosting or server service whose server was deleted reports the termination date here as a red banner.
Date Details
Creation, renewal and next due date are each a date field plus a time field, with the Overdue badge beside the due date while the service is past due. These three dates are what renewal invoicing runs on.
Billing Details
The invoice number links to the invoice the service was created from. View all invoices opens the Service Invoices window, which lists every invoice raised for the service and is described in Service Detail Overview. Invoice this service issues a renewal invoice at once. Assign Invoice Profile decides which of the client's billing profiles is written on future invoices; the Default entry follows the client's own, and with no profile at all the list is disabled and says so. Payment Method pins the gateway those invoices are prepared for.
Pricing Details
Pricing Type decides who owns the price. Linked Product keeps cycle, amount and currency disabled and follows the product; Custom Price opens them so the service keeps its own figures. A quantity box joins the row when the product allows quantities or the service already carries more than one. The cycle is fixed for domains.
The Discount row shows the stored discount and its state while collapsed and opens with Set Up or Edit: type, value, currency, end date, renewal limit and note. Currency matters only for a fixed amount. A live subscription locks the whole panel when its payment gateway cannot be told a new amount, because that gateway would keep charging the agreed figure and every renewal invoice would stay short paid; a gateway that can push a new fee leaves the panel editable, and a cancelled subscription never locks it. Subscription holds the agreement identifier, its status badge, Cancel, the payment lines, and Remove from Subscription, offered only when other members would remain.
Optional Actions & Notes
Three switches and a notes box. Restrict Service Details hides the service from the client area, Cycle Auto-Terminate stops renewal and closes the service at the end of the term without raising an invoice, and Automatic Payment charges the saved card for unpaid invoices. Admin Notes is never shown to the client.
Service Delivery
Drawn only for a product delivered by hand rather than by a module. The title, description and uploaded file are what the client sees on the service page, so a manually produced result is handed over here.

Tasks
Changing the status of a service
- On the Details tab, pick the action from the Manage strip in the Client & Service Management card, for example Suspend.
- In the panel that opens below the strip, write the reason and decide on Send Notification and Apply via API. Ticked, the command also reaches the server; cleared, only the record changes.
- Press Save Changes at the bottom of the form. The page reloads, the status badge under the page title changes, and the notification goes out if you asked for it.
Moving the service to another client
- In the Client & Service Management card, open Change Client and search the new owner by name or e-mail.
- Check Assign Invoice Profile in the Billing Details card, because the old client's profiles no longer apply.
- Press Save Changes. The transfer is written to the service history at once; the owner card at the top of the card is redrawn on the next page load, because only a status change reloads the screen by itself.
Switching the linked product
- In the Product Management card, press Change next to the product name to open the picker.
- Choose Product Group first, then Select New Product, because the second list is reloaded from the group.
- Press Save Changes. The product link and, when the group differs, the service type are rewritten and listed in the service history.
Setting a price that ignores the product
- In the Pricing Details card, set Pricing Type to Custom Price; cycle, amount and currency become editable.
- Enter the amount, pick the currency, and change the billing cycle if the term differs too. The cycle stays fixed on domains.
- Press Save Changes. Later renewal invoices use these figures instead of the catalogue price.
Granting a renewal discount
- In the Pricing Details card, press Set Up on the Discount row (it reads Edit when a discount already exists).
- Pick Type, enter the Value, optionally limit it with End Date and Renewal Limit, and record the reason in Note.
- Press Save Changes. An unpaid renewal invoice already open is corrected at the same time; reload the page to see the collapsed row report the discount and its state.
Issuing a renewal invoice by hand
- In the Billing Details card, press Invoice this service.
- Wait for the answer. Created, it takes you to the invoice; refused, the reason is reported, for example that Cycle Auto-Terminate is on. When the period is already invoiced, the message names the invoice that holds it with its number, payment status and period.
- A cancelled invoice does not hold the period. If the only invoice for it was cancelled, you can issue a new one here.
- Check the amount on the invoice that opens. The service's add-ons and metered usage are on the same document.
Things to Watch
With that box ticked, Suspend, Cancel and Delete are sent to the server or the provider as well, and Delete removes the service and its data from this installation for good. Neither can be taken back from here.
An empty due date is not saved empty, it is recalculated from the renewal date and the cycle. Add-ons that shared the old due date move with the service, so a corrected date changes what is invoiced next.
Changing the type, the value or the renewal limit resets the count of renewals already used. Editing only the note or the end date keeps it, so a spent discount is not handed back by accident.
Required Privileges
Opening the tab needs SERVICES_LOOK or SERVICES_OPERATION. Saving the form, issuing a renewal invoice, checking a transfer and every subscription action need SERVICES_OPERATION.
