NameISP

15 Aufrufe Markdown

Connect your NameISP account to sell eligible domains through NameSRS and manage customer domains from WISECP.

Accessing the Screen

Open Products → Domain Names → Domain Registrars → All Modules → nameISP: {admin}/module/registrars?module=NameISP.

What Is on the Screen?

The screen has Module Settings, Import and Import Extensions tabs. The module uses the NameSRS JSON API.

Prepare the Provider Account

Open a NameSRS reseller account and request its API key. Confirm access to domains, contacts, DNS and the price list with the provider. PHP cURL and intl are required. The module uses HTTPS and has no test-mode switch. Use a separate endpoint only when the provider supplies it. The official API reference may require assistance from NameSRS if its specification fails to load.

Settings

API KeyRequired, initially empty. Enter the reseller account's API key.
API HostDefault api.domainname.systems. Enter a hostname without a scheme; a blank value uses the default.
Default Owner Contact IDOptional, initially empty. A value assigns new registrations to this owner. Otherwise, the order's registrant details create a contact.
DNS Template IDOptional, initially empty. Applies to new registrations. Despite the field description, the module does not send it with transfers.
Auto Renew At The ProviderOff by default. Enables provider renewal for new registrations. Keep off when WISECP handles renewals to avoid duplicate charges.
Trustee / Local Presence ServiceOff by default. Requests paid local presence with new registrations where applicable. Confirm the registry requirements and fee first.
Webhook (Callback) AddressOptional, initially empty. Informational only; this module neither sends this address nor provides a callback receiver. Filling it does not activate automatic notifications.
Cost CurrencyText field, default SEK. Supplies the fallback price currency; an explicit currency in the price response takes priority.
Default NameserversFour initially empty fields; the first two are marked required. Check the nameservers sent with each registration.
Automatic Cost UpdatesOff by default. Updates assigned extensions daily and calculates selling prices from the profit rate.
Cost CurrencySeparate currency selector, default US Dollar (USD). Match the provider's price currencies and verify saved amounts after import.

Available Actions

Connect and Check

  1. Under Module Settings, enter the API key and review owner, DNS and both currency fields. No separate WISECP server record is required.
  2. Click Test Connection. It requests one account-domain list entry; success does not verify purchase permissions or sufficient funds.
  3. Click Save Changes and reopen the form to confirm the settings.

Import Extensions and Prices

Under Import Extensions, select extensions and the profit rate, then click Import. Existing provider assignments and prices can change; new extensions start inactive. The catalogue keeps positive prices with registration entries and their available periods. It can contain different currencies. The preview may show zero because its price format differs from the saved catalogue; compare the final prices with NameSRS before enabling sales. Restore fees, premium acceptance and local presence are not established by the catalogue's general capability flags.

Import Existing Domains

  1. Define the domain's extension, then open Import. Select an account domain and its existing customer.
  2. Click Import. A yearly active WISECP service is created; no registrar transfer is ordered.
  3. Start with one controlled record. Open it under Orders → Services and check customer, price, dates and nameservers.

For an initial trial, keep the sales extension inactive. Test the connection and read existing domain settings first. A live registration still costs money even if its WISECP product is inactive.

Manage a Domain

Registration, incoming transfer, renewal, restore, nameservers, transfer lock, privacy and authorization codes are available. Registration and transfer acceptance is not completion. Check the provider's request outcome and use scheduled synchronization for dates and status before retrying.

In the service's WHOIS section, all four contact roles show the same registrant. Name or organization changes create and assign a new owner. Address changes update the shared contact and may affect other domains. Independent administrative or billing contacts are not supported.

DNS manages A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV and CAA in the provider's zone. Provider DNS is required for changes to affect traffic. Child nameserver management is not supported. URL forwarding supports 301/302 but reads, changes or deletes the first redirect record, which may belong to a subdomain. Email forwarding supports adding, editing and deleting individual rules.

Privacy is a domain setting; this module has no separate privacy addon purchase or cancellation. Customer controls depend on service settings and permissions. Neither a callback receiver nor extra contact fields are created automatically.

Important Notes

DNSSEC expects a DNSKEY

The DNSSEC form's digest value is the DNSKEY public key, not a DS digest. Select 256 for ZSK or 257 for KSK and the algorithm. Key Tag is not sent. Use the provider's matching key when deleting.

Charges and troubleshooting

Registration, transfer, renewal, restore, owner changes and trustee service may incur charges. Check API access, funds, currency and pending requests after an error. Local suspension or cancellation does not stop provider renewal or billing.

Required Permissions

Configuration requires Domain Registrars permission. Service actions also depend on administrator or customer permissions and the provider account.
