Invoice Income Report

87 Aufrufe Markdown

Paid invoice income day by day, so you can see what a period brought in and where the busy days fell.

Reaching the Screen

Open WAnalytics from the menu, then pick Invoices › Income Report in the left rail. The direct address is {admin}/wanalytics/invoices/income-report.

What Is on the Screen

The report title carries an information mark that sums up what it measures. Its controls sit on the same line, and three bands follow underneath.

The controls

All Currencies (Local) Optional; the default. Payments in other currencies are converted into your local one, which carries a star in the list. Pick a single currency and you see only what was paid in it, without conversion.
Select Date Range Optional. The period behind every number on the page. Left alone it covers the last 30 days.
Apply The circular arrow beside the date box. It runs the report again on whatever period the box holds.
Download as PDF Saves the report as one document. Your logo (when one is set), your domain and the period go on it; the controls stay out.

The figures

Four totals for the chosen period.

Total Income Everything collected in the period.
Invoices How many paid invoices are behind that amount.
Days Length of the period, quiet days included.
Daily Average Total income divided by those days.

Invoice Income Trend Analysis

Two plots over the same days: the amount collected, then the number of invoices behind it. Amount and count are different units, so each plot keeps its own scale. Hover a day to read its value. A period with no payments shows No data available for the selected period.

The daily table

One row per day that saw a payment; quiet days stay out. The download button sits above it, and the record count and the rows-per-page selector are at the foot. Click a column heading to sort by it. The search box beside the download button does not narrow this report; use the date range and the currency list instead.

Fields

Table columns

Date The payment day, with its weekday under it. Newest first until you sort otherwise.
Invoices Invoices paid that day.
Amount What those invoices came to.

Ready-made periods

The date box opens a calendar where you mark a start and an end; the menu beside it offers Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year and Last Year. A quick range applies at once; a calendar pick applies when the calendar closes, and the × mark clears the box.

Tasks

Report on another period

  1. Click the date box in the report header, then pick a ready-made period or two dates of your own.
  2. Close the calendar (click outside it); the page reloads and every figure, plot and row follows the new period.
  3. The period stays in the address, so you can bookmark the narrowed report or send it to a colleague.

Read one currency on its own

  1. Open the currency list in the report header.
  2. Pick the currency you want; the table below narrows to invoices paid in it at once, unconverted.
  3. Click the circular arrow beside the date box so the figures and plots take the same choice.
  4. Go back to All Currencies (Local) for the combined figure.

Take the report out of the panel

  1. Click the Download as PDF button in the report header for the whole sheet, figures and plots included.
  2. For the numbers alone, click the download button above the table and pick CSV, JSON or XML.
  3. The file holds every day of the period, not the page you happen to be looking at.

Things to Watch

A payment lands on the day it arrived

An invoice counts on the date it was paid, not the date it was issued. Unpaid, cancelled and refunded invoices are outside this report altogether. An invoice only reaches the report once it is paid in full, and then its whole amount lands on the day of the last payment; part payments count nowhere until the invoice closes. Income entered by hand in cash management does not reach this report either — it reads paid invoices only.

Conversion uses the rate of the moment

Under All Currencies (Local), foreign payments are converted at today's rate, not the rate on the day they arrived. The same period can total differently next month. Pick a single currency when a figure has to stay fixed.

Quiet days still count

Days is the length of the period, and Daily Average divides by it. A slow week lowers the average even though the table skips those days.

Required Privileges

The whole WAnalytics section, this report included, needs WANALYTICS. Without it the page answers with an access message and no data. Downloading the table as CSV, JSON or XML additionally needs TABLE_EXPORT; without that one the download button above the table is not shown at all. The Download as PDF button in the report header does not ask for it.
