Product Pricing is where you set what a product costs across billing cycles and currencies. It also covers usage-based pricing and sales rules like tax and auto termination.

Opening the Screen

Open a product from Editing a Product and click the Pricing tab.

What Is on the Screen

A collapsible Pricing Guide explains billing cycles, multi-currency pricing, and the price generator.

The Pricing table lists one row per cycle and currency. A toolbar above it holds Import/Export Pricing and the Price Generator; Add Pricing Cycle sits below it.

Metric Pricing is a separate card for usage-based billing. It only works if the module assigned on Automation reports metrics. Otherwise it explains why: no module assigned, or the module has none. Each metric gets a scheme and per-currency price tiers, with its own Import/Export Metrics button.

The Configuration card below holds sales rules that apply regardless of cycle or currency.

Fields

Cyclical Pricing

PricingOne row per billing cycle and currency: Enable, Amount, Setup Fee, and Discount (%). Discount is shown to clients but is not calculated automatically. A row's delete icon removes that cycle for every currency.

Metric Pricing

Metric PricingFor each metric the module reports, set Max Value (0 for no cap) and the amount Included in the base price. Pick a Pricing Scheme: Per Unit, Total Volume, or Graduated. Then set per-currency prices across one or more usage ranges.

Sales Settings

Ignore Client CurrencyCharges the currency set here for this product, ignoring the client's own preference.

Exempt from TaxNo tax is calculated for this product.

Additional TaxAdds extra taxes on top of the primary tax, each with a country, state/region, name, and rate (%).

Prorate BillingCharges a client only for the remaining days of the cycle when they sign up mid-cycle. Prorate Days sets the day of month recurring payments fall on.

Recurring Cycles LimitCaps how many times the service can renew before it expires.

Auto TerminateEnds the service automatically a set number of days after activation, with no renewal invoice; good for trials and demos.

Apply Price Change to Open InvoicesA one-off action, not a stored setting: it loads unchecked every time. Tick it before saving and, if the price actually changes on this save, unpaid renewal invoices for this product are re-priced and the save message tells you how many. Partially paid invoices, locked prices and services tied to a subscription are left untouched.

Price Change and Existing ServicesA dialog that opens on save when you changed a price and services still renew on this product's catalog price. Keep Current Prices freezes each of them at the amount it already has, so the new price only reaches new orders. Apply New Price leaves them following the catalog. Cancelled services and services already on a locked price are never touched, and every frozen service records the change in its own history.

Allow Multiple QuantitiesNo: one unit per order. Multiple Services: each unit becomes its own service. Scaling Service: one service with an adjustable quantity that multiplies its price.

Tasks

Add a Pricing Cycle

Click Add Pricing Cycle below the table, then pick a cycle not already listed.

Result: a row appears for that cycle in every currency; enable it and set an amount before saving.

Generate Pricing with the Price Generator

Click the Price Generator button and set a base monthly price per currency. Pick the cycles to fill, optionally enable discounts for longer cycles, then click Generate Pricing.

Result: the Pricing table fills in for the picked cycles and currencies. Nothing is saved until you click Save at the bottom of the page.

Import or Export Pricing or Metric Data

Open the Import/Export button next to Pricing or Metric Pricing. Its Export tab copies or downloads the current data as JSON. Its Import tab accepts pasted or uploaded JSON, with an option to replace what's already there.

Result: the table updates from the imported data; Save still applies it.

Things to Watch

Discount (%) Is Informational Only

It shows a badge to clients but does not change the amount charged. Set the actual price in Amount.

Changing the Module Can Clear Metric Data

If the newly selected module doesn't support metrics, or uses different ones, existing metric pricing is removed with a warning. Export it first if you may need it again.

Prorate Billing Applies Only to New Orders

Turning it on does not change how already active services are billed.

Required Privileges

Products > ViewOpens the screen for reading.

Products > EditEnables saving changes.
