Clients (Overview)

91 Aufrufe Markdown

The Clients overview gathers your client totals, the arrival rate of new clients and the newest registrations onto one sheet, so you can judge your client base at a glance.

Opening the Screen

Select WAnalytics in the sidebar, then open Clients and General Overview on the report rail at the left. The direct address is {admin}/wanalytics.

What Is on the Screen

A short note about WAnalytics sits above the rail. The rail lists the report groups: Realtime, Clients, Services, Invoices and Support. The open report fills the rest of the page and is made up of five blocks.

  • Sheet header: the report name, the date field that sets the period, the refresh button and the PDF button.
  • Figure rail: four numbers, each with a short explanation behind its info icon.
  • Client Registration Trend: new registrations per day inside the selected period.
  • Client Distribution: a ranked list where every row carries its own count and share, plus a select that changes the breakdown.
  • Recent Clients: the client list, with two filters, a search box, a download button and a per page selector.

Fields

Figures

New Clients
Clients who created an account inside the selected period. The badge underneath compares that number with the previous period of the same length.
Active Clients
Clients who own at least one active product or service. Counted over all time.
Inactive Clients
Clients without any active product or service. Counted over all time.
Active Countries
How many countries the clients with an active service are spread over. Counted over all time.

Controls

Date Range
Optional. Sets the period of the report. Quick ranges (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year) sit in the calendar-range menu beside the field; your own dates are picked in the calendar. Default: the last 30 days.
Client Distribution breakdown
Optional. Choose By Account Status, By Country, By Language or By Service Status. Default: By Account Status.
Account Status
Optional. Limits the list to Active or Blocked accounts. Default: no limit.
Service Status
Optional. Limits the list to Has Active Service or No Active Service. Default: no limit.
Search box
Optional. Searches the client name, the email address and the company name.

List columns

Client, Email, Location (country flag and the language recorded on the account), Active Services, Status and Registered. The list arrives sorted by registration date, newest first. Active Services and Registered can be sorted by clicking their headings.

Tasks

Change the period

  1. Click the date field in the sheet header and select two dates, or open the calendar-range menu beside it and pick a quick range.
  2. A quick range reloads the page right away; two dates picked in the calendar apply when you close it. The date field then holds your range, and the Apply arrow runs the report again on that range.
  3. New Clients and the registration trend are recalculated for that period.

Change the distribution breakdown

  1. Open the select next to the Client Distribution heading.
  2. Pick a breakdown. The ranked list is replaced without reloading the page.

Narrow the client list

  1. Pick a value in Account Status or Service Status above the list, or type into the search box.
  2. The rows and the record count are refreshed. Your choice is added to the page address, so the link can be shared.

Take the report out of the panel

  1. Click the PDF button in the sheet header to save the report as a document.
  2. Click the download button above the list, then pick CSV, JSON or XML to save the rows as a file.

Things to Watch

The period does not cover every block

Only New Clients and the registration trend follow the date range. Active Clients, Inactive Clients, Active Countries, the distribution list and the client list always cover all time. Read the list as your newest clients, not as the clients of the chosen period.

The PDF is the report, not the page

The document keeps the figures, the chart, the ranked list and the visible rows. The controls are left out. Your logo, your domain and the period are added, so the file can go outside the panel.

What the file holds

Every row matching the current filters and search is written, not only the page you see. Sorting is kept and paging is dropped.
