Product Addons
Product Addons is the master list of add-ons you can sell alongside a product or service. From here you review, filter, categorize, and remove them.
Opening the Screen
Go to Products > Product Management > Product Addons.
Direct address: {admin}/products/addons
What Is on the Screen
A toolbar sits above the list:
- Apply to Selected, a bulk-action dropdown with a single option, Delete.
- Create New Product Addon, which opens the creation form.
- Categories, which opens a dialog for managing addon categories.
- Two filters: Product Group and Addon Category.
The table lists every addon with its Name, Description, Product Group, Addon Category, and Status. Name links to the edit screen, and a row menu offers Edit and Delete. Status shows as Active or Inactive. The bulk-action column, the toolbar buttons, and the row menu's Delete entry only appear if your account can manage addons. Without that right, the screen only shows the list. A search box above the table matches name and description, and staff with export rights see a download icon that exports the filtered list as CSV, JSON, or XML.
Fields
Tasks
Filter the List
Pick a value from Product Group and/or Addon Category. The table updates right away; clear a dropdown back to its placeholder to drop that filter.
Manage Addon Categories
Click Categories to open the dialog. Rename an existing category by editing its text field, or click Create New Category and type a name for a new one. Click the trash icon next to a category to mark it for removal. A new, unsaved category drops from the dialog right away, while an existing one is struck through and removed once you save. Click Save Changes to apply everything at once; the button stays disabled until you have made an actual change.
Delete Addons
Check one or more rows, then choose Delete from Apply to Selected, or open a single row's menu and choose Delete there. Deleting more than one addon at once asks for your account password before it proceeds.
Things to Watch
Removing an addon deletes its definition for good, including every pricing option under it. Customers who already own it keep it, but from the next renewal its price stops following your catalogue and freezes at the last amount billed, and any tax exemption or additional tax carried by the definition no longer applies.
An addon that still points to a removed category keeps working. The list shows it as belonging to a deleted category until you pick a new one for it.
