Creating a Server Group
Name a group, choose how it spreads new accounts, and move servers into it with a dual list.
Opening the Screen
From Server Groups (Server Groups), click Create New Group: {admin}/products/servers/groups/add. Open a group's name, or Edit in its row menu, to change it later: {admin}/products/servers/groups/edit?id={grup}. Both addresses open the same form, already filled in when editing.
What Is on the Screen
Two cards side by side. Server Group on the left holds the name and the distribution method. Server Assignment on the right moves servers in and out with a dual list.
Server Group Card
Group Name is what the group is called in lists and in a product's automation settings. Distribution Type is two cards. Lowest Load (Recommended) always adds to the server with the lowest load. Fill Up fully utilizes one server before moving to the server with the lowest load.
Server Assignment Card
Unassigned on the left and Assigned on the right each carry a search box. Add and Remove move a selection between them; double arrows move everything at once. A server with no Maximum Accounts limit is dimmed and cannot be selected, and a warning icon on it explains why. Once any server sits on the Assigned side, only servers sharing its automation module stay selectable. The rest dim until the group is emptied again.
Fields
Tasks
Creating a Group

- Pick Lowest Load (Recommended) or Fill Up under Distribution Type.
- Move servers from Unassigned to Assigned, one at a time or with Add for a selection.
- Click Create New Group.
Assigning or Removing Servers
- Search the Unassigned list and click each server you want, or use the double arrow for all of them.
- Click the single arrow to move your selection across.
- Remove a server the same way from the Assigned side if you change your mind, then click Save Changes.
Things to Watch
A group can hold servers from a single automation module at a time. Once one server is assigned, servers using a different module dim on the Unassigned list until the group is emptied again.
A server with no Maximum Accounts limit set cannot be assigned to a group. Set that limit on the server first, see Adding a Server.
Lowest Load spreads new accounts evenly and suits most setups. Fill Up saturates one server before moving to the next, useful when you plan to retire the emptier servers later.
Required Privileges
Opening this screen and creating or saving a group needs Server Settings (MODULES_SERVERS_SETTINGS).
