Creating an Agreement
Write an agreement your clients accept, decide where they have to accept it, and publish it in every language you serve.
Reaching the Screen
Panel menu: Site Management, then Agreements. Above the list, click Create Contract.
{admin}/manage-website/contracts/add
The Agreements button on the page list leads to the same place.
What Is on the Screen
The page form, plus two acceptance blocks that only agreements carry.
The language tabs
The tabs choose which language you are writing. Title, Link Structure, Content and the SEO boxes hold one value per language.
Hide Sidebar and Background Image are shared by every language, so they appear on the default language tab only. The acceptance boxes are shared as well, but they stay on screen whichever tab you are on.
Where clients accept it
During Account Registration puts the agreement on the account creation form. During Purchase puts it on the checkout step.
Leave both off for text that only sits on the site, such as an agreement you link from the footer.
Inside the client area
The two boxes under Account Preferences are stored with the agreement, but nothing in the client area reads them today: turning them on adds no entry to account preferences and asks the client for no acceptance. Use the purchase and registration switches above for agreements you need accepted.
The web address
Link Structure shows the address the agreement will get, and follows the title as you type. The pencil button lets you rewrite the bold part.
The panel checks the address and warns you when another page already holds it.
Fields
Tasks
Write the agreement
- Fill in Title and Content on the first language tab.
- Open each remaining tab and write the same agreement there.
- Click Create. The agreement is saved as active and the agreement list opens.
Let AI write the first draft
- Fill in Title on the language tab you want. The title decides which document is written: "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" give different texts.
- Click Draft with AI in the strip above the form.
- Check The Provider, as the Agreement Names It, read from Settings, General for that language. Add anything else in Extra Instructions.
- Click Write the Draft. The section list appears first, then the sections fill in. When it finishes, click Place in the Editor: the text lands in Content.
Ask for it at checkout
- Tick During Purchase under Required. The box sits on every language tab, so any tab will do.
- Save. From now on the checkout step shows the agreement and asks the client to accept it.
Things to Watch
The save is refused when a language tab has no title, and the message names the language. An agreement without a translated text is a legal gap, so write the content on every tab too.
The AI drafting on this screen comes with the AI Assistant addon and is included with the Business Plan at no additional cost. On other WISECP license plans you can add it to your existing license.
It states no price, uptime figure or notice period, because it is told never to invent one. Read it before saving, and have a lawyer check it if the agreement carries real obligations.
Each language gets its own run, with the company details of that language. So a Turkish agreement can name the Turkish company under Turkish law while the English one names another entity. Fill those details in for every language you sell in.
Creating an agreement does not put it in the footer. On the agreement list, open Settings and pick which agreement stands for privacy, terms and cookies.
It is live at its own address as soon as you save. The Status switch, which takes it back offline, appears once you reopen it for editing.
The edit screen does not read the saved value of During Purchase, so the box comes up unticked even while the setting is on, and saving that form turns the setting off. Tick it again every time you edit the agreement, or the checkout step quietly stops asking for it.
Required Privileges
The screen and its save need MANAGE_WEBSITE_OPERATION. Without it the agreement list itself does not open and answers Access Denied, even though Agreements stays in the menu.
