Bulk Notification Detail
Open a saved draft or a booked task, change what it says or who it reaches, and save it back.
Opening the Screen
Bulk Notifications, Drafts tab, then the draft name or Edit in its three-dot menu: {admin}/tools/bulk-notification/detail?id={draft}
On the Scheduled Tasks tab the task name opens the same screen, carrying the task's own copy.
What Is on the Screen
The same form you used to create the draft, with every choice filled in. The heading reads Edit Draft, for a booked task as well.
Fields
Every field behaves as it does on the create form. These are the ones worth a second look on a saved record.
Tasks
Change a draft
- Open the draft by its name in the Drafts list.
- Change the text or the criteria, and watch the recipient count settle.
- Click the Save Draft button. The record is written over, and nothing is sent.
Change what a booked task sends
- Open the task by its name in the Scheduled Tasks list.
- Change the subject, the body or the criteria.
- Click the Save Draft button. The task keeps its date and its status, so a paused task stays Paused.
Send a saved draft right away
- Open the draft and check the count in Number of Notification Recipients.
- Click the Send Now button and read the summary window.
- Confirm it. Sending does not change the record, so the draft stays as it is.
Things to Watch
There is no history and no earlier copy to go back to. On a message you send often, copy the old text somewhere before you rewrite it.
An e-mail draft turned into an SMS opens with an empty SMS box, and the old text is not carried across. Write the new body before saving, or the save is refused.
Editing a task here changes what it sends, never when. Change the date and the period from Edit in the task row menu on the Scheduled Tasks tab.
Required Privileges
Opening the record, saving it and sending it need TOOLS_BULK_MAIL or TOOLS_BULK_SMS.
