Pages
Keep every standalone page of your website in one list, add new ones, and remove the pages that no longer belong.
Opening the Screen
Go to Site Management › Pages: {admin}/manage-website/pages. The screen opens for staff holding any of the site management permissions.
Only plain content pages appear here. News, blog articles and agreements have their own lists, linked at the end of this article.
What Is on the Screen
Two parts: the action bar decides what you can do, the table below shows what exists.
The Action Bar
On a narrow screen the bar is folded away; open it with Show Options under the page title.
Apply to Selected acts on the rows you tick and offers one action, Delete. Create Page opens the empty page form and appears only for staff with the edit permission. Agreements leaves for the agreement list, which is the same table filled with contract pages.
The Table Columns
The newest page comes first and that order stays; no column header sorts the list.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Selection box | Ticks the row for the bulk action. Needs the delete permission. |
| Title | The title in the panel language, cut to fifty characters. Hover for the whole title. |
| URL | The public address of the page. Opens the live page in a new tab. |
| Created | When the page was added, as elapsed time. Hover for the exact moment. |
| Row menu | Three-dot button: Edit opens the page and needs the edit permission, but the entry stays in the menu without it and the form answers with an access error. Delete needs the delete permission and disappears without it. |
The strip above the table carries the rest. Show Records sets the page size, and the search box narrows the list by what you type, matching anywhere in the row.
Downloading the List
The download arrow sits at the right end of the table strip and appears for staff holding the table export permission. It offers CSV, JSON and XML, and the file follows what the table shows.
Controls
Tasks
Changing a page
- Find the page with the search box above the table, or read it off the list.
- Open the three-dot menu at the end of its row and choose Edit.
- The page form opens with the current content, ready to change and save.
Deleting pages
- For one page, open the three-dot menu at the end of its row and choose Delete.
- For several, tick them in the first column, then choose Delete from Apply to Selected.
- With more than one page selected the window asks for your own admin password. Type it, then click the Delete button in the window footer.
- The rows leave the list. Each page takes its translations and its uploaded images with it.
Downloading the list
- Search and set the page size until the table shows the set you want.
- Click the download arrow at the right end of the table strip. On a narrow screen open the strip first with Show Table Options.
- Pick CSV, JSON or XML. The file downloads at once.
Things to Watch
Delete removes the page, all its translations and its uploaded images. None of that can be recovered. To take the page off the site for now, edit it and close it instead.
The site cache empties right after the deletion. A visitor stops seeing the page immediately, so warn anyone linking to that address from elsewhere.
Required Privileges
Reading the list needs one of the site management permissions. Creating and changing pages need MANAGE_WEBSITE_OPERATION: without it the Create Page button is missing, while the Edit entry in the row menu keeps showing and the form it opens answers with an access error. Ticking rows and deleting need MANAGE_WEBSITE_DELETE: without it the selection column and the Delete entry never appear, though the Apply to Selected list stays on the bar with no row left to tick.
