Connect your OVH account to handle domain orders and manage existing domains through WISECP.

Access the Screen

Open Products → Domains → Domain Name Registrars → All Modules → OVH: {admin}/module/registrars?module=OVH.

What Is on the Screen

Module Settings contains connection and order options. Import lists account domains. Import Extensions shows the catalogue and prices.

Prepare Your OVH Account

  1. Open the key creation page for your account region. Set an application name and validity period.
  2. Under Rights, add GET/POST/PUT/DELETE permissions for /domain*, /order*, /me*, /service* and /email/domain*. These cover domain, DNS, order, payment and email operations.
  3. Click Create keys and securely store the Application Key, Application Secret and Consumer Key. Generate them in the correct region; see the official API guide.
  4. Prepare an account payment method for live purchases. Confirm your OVH reseller contract before using the reseller catalogue.

Settings

Consumer KeyRequired; initially empty. Enter the account key carrying the permissions above.
Subsidiary (Country)FR by default. Must match the account billing country and API region; determines the catalogue currency.
Default Registrant Contact IDOptional; empty. When set, every order uses this OVH registrant. Otherwise, the order's WHOIS details are used.
Pay Orders AutomaticallyEnabled by default. When disabled, registration cannot complete until you pay the order in OVH.
Waive the Withdrawal PeriodEnabled by default. Sends the consent required by the provider to complete a domain order.
Use the Reseller CatalogueDisabled by default; uses the public catalogue. Enabling requires a reseller contract.
Default NameserversOptional; empty. Enter one per line; used when the order has no nameservers.
Default NameserversFour initially empty fields; the first two have required markers. Used for service defaults. Keep these consistent with the list above.
Automatic Cost UpdatesDisabled by default. Enables scheduled cost updates; also review your selling price rules.
Cost CurrencyCompare the selected currency with the OVH catalogue before importing.

Tasks

Connect the Account

  1. In Module Settings, enter the keys, region and country.
  2. Click Test Connection at the bottom of the form. It reads account information; it does not verify payment or other operation permissions.
  3. After success, click Save Changes and reopen the form. No separate server record is needed.

Assign Extensions

  1. Review prices in Import Extensions. Select rows and click Import; existing prices can also change.
  2. Under Products → Domains, select OVH in the extension's Registrar field. Click Update Extensions.
  3. Open the row's Pricing window and review periods and selling prices. Click Save Changes and verify the assignment.

Existing Domains

In Import, search for the domain, select its customer and click Import. Define the extension first. Check the resulting service dates. If the domain cannot be resolved, request support; seeing a list does not prove the import completed.

Domain Operations

Registration, transfer, renewal, restore and status/date synchronization are implemented. Prepare the EPP code required by the extension. Order acceptance is separate from delivery; check payment and delivery status in OVH.

Open the domain under Orders → Services. DNS manages nameservers, child nameservers and OVH DNS records. WHOIS offers contact updates and email obfuscation for supported extensions. Updating a shared contact can affect other domains.

Transfer provides lock management and Get Transfer (EPP) Code; unlock the domain before requesting its code. Domain Forwarding supports 301/302. Email Forwarding manages redirects tied to an OVH email service. Customer permissions and active service addons determine visibility.

DNS → DNSSEC uses public key material; entering a DS digest in the shared Digest field is inappropriate. Manage additions in OVH until you verify this input flow. This WISECP module has no sandbox or order dry-run option.

Things to Consider

Real Payments

Orders can charge your account when automatic payment is enabled. Review payment, premium prices and registrant selection before enabling sales. A connection test is not a purchase test.

Troubleshooting

For 401/403 errors, check region, key expiry and permissions for the affected path. Complete required extension information for configuration errors. DNS requires an OVH zone and authoritative nameservers. Check OVH payment and delivery status before repeating an order.

Required Permissions

Setup requires Domain Name Registrars permission. Service operations require their corresponding permissions.
