Social Sign-in
Let clients sign in and register with an account they already have. Google, Apple, Microsoft and other providers replace another password to remember.
Opening the Screen
Open Settings › General, then choose the Social Sign-in tab: {admin}/settings?general=socialauth. The tab appears only when at least one provider module is present on the server.
What Is on the Screen
A row per provider, with its logo, name and a one-line status. Opening a row closes any other one that was open.
An open row shows its Redirect URI, the provider's own credential fields, its setup steps, and Test Connection and Save.
Fields
Tasks
Turn on a provider
- Open the provider's row and copy its Redirect URI into that provider's own console.
- Follow the numbered setup steps shown in the row, then paste the credentials the console gives back into the fields.
- Save, then switch the row on. Its status becomes Shown on the sign-in screen.
Test before you save
- Fill in the provider's fields.
- Click Test Connection. It checks what is currently typed, even if unsaved.
- Fix and retry on failure; save once it passes.
Things to Watch
Turning a provider on or off posts every field in its row, not the switch alone. An unsaved credential change is saved along with it.
A provider can be on with a required field left empty. Its button only reaches the sign-in screen once the switch is on and every required field is filled.
You can verify new credentials this way before you commit to them.
Required Privileges
Opening Settings › General, and saving or testing a provider, needs SETTINGS_INFORMATIONS_CONFIGURE.
