Clients (Banned)

96 vues Markdown

Every restricted client in one place: who was blacklisted, who was blocked, and when each of them was last seen.

Opening the Screen

WAnalytics has its own entry in the admin menu. Open it, choose Clients in the left rail, then Banned Clients.

Direct address: {admin}/wanalytics/clients/by-banned-clients

What Is on the Screen

The report reads top to bottom in three blocks.

Figures Clients, how many accounts carry a restriction, and Ban Types, how many of the two types are in use.
Ban Types The same clients split by type of restriction, each with its count and its share of the total.
Clients (Banned) The list itself, with its own filter, search box and download button.

This report has no date range. It reads the restrictions as they stand right now.

Ban Types

There are two, and every client counts once.

Blacklisted The account carries a blacklist mark, set by an administrator or by fraud protection.
Blocked The account status is blocked, so the client cannot sign in.

An account that is blacklisted and blocked at the same time counts as Blacklisted. So Blocked covers only accounts without a blacklist mark.

The Client List

One row per client, five columns.

Client Name and company. It opens the client record when your role may view clients. Blacklisted accounts also carry a red shield button: it shows the reason, who set it, when, and which restrictions apply. Accounts with an administrator note carry a note button too.
Ban Type A badge with the restriction that applies to this account.
Last Activity When the client last signed in.
Registered The date the account was created.
Status The state of the account itself, such as active or blocked.

The list opens sorted by last activity, most recent first. The two date columns can be re-sorted from their heading.

Fields

All Restrictions Narrows the list to one restriction type. Optional; the default covers both.
Search Matches the name, e-mail address and company name.
Rows per page 10, 25, 50, 100 or all. It sits under the list and starts at 10.

Tasks

Separate the two restriction types

  1. Open the filter above the list and choose Blacklisted or Blocked.
  2. The list reloads with that type only; the figures above stay on the whole report.
  3. Choose All Restrictions to bring both back.

Look into one account

  1. Search for the client, or find the row in the list.
  2. Click the name in the Client column.
  3. The client record opens, which is where a restriction can be reviewed or lifted.

Take the list out of the panel

  1. Click the download icon, a downward arrow next to the search box, then choose CSV, JSON or XML.
  2. For a document instead, click Download as PDF at the top right of the report.
  3. The export carries the whole filtered list; the PDF carries the figures, the types and the list.

Things to Watch

You can lift the blacklist mark here

The red shield button in the Client column opens the window that shows why the client was blacklisted. From there you can remove the mark and optionally reactivate the services, which needs the USERS_OPERATION privilege. Unblocking the account itself is still done from the client record.

The two counts never overlap

A client with both restrictions is counted under Blacklisted alone. If the Blocked figure looks lower than you expected, this is usually the reason.

Required Privileges

The whole of WAnalytics opens with one privilege: WANALYTICS. Two things on this screen follow your other permissions. The client name is a link only if you may view client records, and the download button appears only if you may export lists.
