Creating a Product

This screen collects the basics for a new product and then takes you to its full settings.

Opening the Screen

Go to Products > Product Management > Create Product.

Or click Create New Product on any product list; the list's group is already selected for you.

What Is on the Screen

The page has a single form. A row of type cards lets you pick Product Type: Hosting, Servers, Software, and Other Services. The first three each disappear when their product group is turned off in settings; Other Services is always there. Below it, drop-down fields collect the product group, category, name, and automation module, followed by a Hidden switch. A note reminds you that pricing and other advanced settings come on the next screen. The Continue button submits the form.

Create the Product

Choose a Product Type, then a Product Group and, if you need one, a Product Category. Enter a Product Name, optionally pick a module, and click Continue. You land on the product's edit page to finish the setup.

Pick the Group and Category

The Product Category list is tied to the group you pick: change the group and the categories reload for it. Leave the category empty if the product does not belong to a subcategory.

If the category you need does not exist yet, open the category list and click Add New Category at the bottom of it. A small dialog asks for the category name, creates the category under the selected group as active, and selects it in the form right away. The row is shown only to staff who are allowed to manage product groups; you can fine-tune the new category later on the group's Categories page.

Decide Whether the Product Is Hidden

Leave Hidden checked while you are still setting prices and options; only visitors with the direct link can reach it. Turn it off once the product is ready so it appears in your store.
