Choose which optional add-ons customers can buy alongside this product, grouped by category.

Opening the Screen

Panel menu: Products. Open the product's group, then click its name (or the row menu's Edit action): {admin}/products/edit?id={product}

In the tab strip, click Addons. A direct link opens it already selected: {admin}/products/edit?id={product}&configuration=addons

What Is on the Screen

An info box explains the step, then one card per add-on category.

Category card Groups the add-ons made for this product's group. A card only appears if it has at least one add-on.

Add-on row Name, description and a checkbox. An arrow icon next to the name opens that add-on's own screen in a new tab.

No add-ons yet Shows instead of the cards when this product's group has no add-on set up.

Below the list, Create New Addon opens a blank add-on for this same group.

Fields

Add-ons Tick each add-on you want to offer with this product. Saved as one list with the rest of the screen.

Category checkbox Ticks or clears every add-on in that card at once. Shows a dash when only some are picked.

Tasks

Turn add-ons on or off

Open the Addons tab.
Tick the add-ons this product should offer, or untick to drop one. A category's own checkbox picks or clears all of them together.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. It saves every tab on this screen together.

Create a new add-on

Click Create New Addon below the list.
Fill in and save the new add-on, then come back to this product to tick it.

Things to Watch

Creating a new add-on leaves this page

Create New Addon opens in the same tab, unlike the arrow icon on an existing add-on. Save this product first if you have unsaved changes on another tab.

Only this group's add-ons show here

An add-on is built for one product group. Add-ons made for other groups never appear on this list, so an empty screen can be normal.

A Group change swaps this list, but not what gets saved

The Product Group field on the Detail tab is live. Switching it replaces these cards with the new group's add-ons right away, but does not update what actually gets saved. If you click Save Changes without ticking anything here, the product can keep the previous group's add-on selection instead. That may not match what the cards now show. After changing Group, re-tick the add-ons you want here, or save the Group change alone first and reopen this tab.

Ticking an add-on does not change its rules

Whether it is optional or required, how many a client can buy and its price all live on the add-on's own screen. This tab only turns it on or off for this product.

Categories become tabs on the client screen

When this product offers add-ons from more than one category, each category appears as its own tab on the client's order configuration screen. The category's own sort order sets the tab order. With a single category no tabs are shown and the add-ons stay a plain list.

Required Privileges

Opening this screen needs PRODUCTS_LOOK or PRODUCTS_OPERATION. Saving changes needs PRODUCTS_OPERATION.
