Create discount codes limited to the customers, products and dates you choose.

Reaching the Screen

Panel menu: Clients, Marketing, Coupons & Promotions: {admin}/financial/coupons.

Create opens an empty form at {admin}/financial/coupons/add; a code opens a filled one at {admin}/financial/coupons/edit?id={coupon}.

What Is on the Screen

The list Codes with value, usage and status.

List actions Create, Apply to Selected for ticked rows, a menu per row.

The coupon form Discount, scope, conditions, limits, restrictions.

Selected Criteria A live summary of the form.

The Coupon System switch under Settings, General, Advanced hides the cart's code box.

The Coupon List

Columns: code, type, value, usage, dates and status. Usage counts against the limit; Indefinite means no end date.

Only Active codes work: Inactive is off, Limit Reached is spent, Pending waits for its start date, Expired is past its end.

Filter by status, or search codes and notes. Row menus offer Edit, Duplicate and Delete.

The Coupon Form

A new coupon returns to the list on save; an edit stays open.

Selected Criteria

The header carries the code; click it to copy.

Fields

Only the code and its value are required; every switch starts off.

The Discount

Coupon Code Unique; Auto Generate fills it, a button copies it.

Discount Type % Rate by default. Switching clears the value.

% Rate Above zero. Comes off each matching line, not the total.

Fixed Amount Above zero, in the selector's currency. Split across the lines it hits, capped at their total.

Where It Applies

A line must match both the products and the cycles chosen here.

Products / Services Empty means everything: groups, categories, products, extensions, addons. It hits the product or domain price, an addon only if picked.

For Products/Services With Enable validity cycle, only ticked cycles are discounted.

For Domains The same for domains, one to ten registration years.

Tax Exemption On, discounted lines go untaxed; off, tax falls with the price.

Cart Conditions

Checked before the discount; if one fails, nothing comes off.

Required Products With Require specific products in cart, each entry must be in the cart; the discount can go elsewhere.

For Products/Services Under Requirements: counts only on a ticked cycle.

For Domains The same for a required domain, in years.

Minimum Amount With Require minimum cart amount, the cart total in the selector's currency.

Limits and Dates

Maximum Uses With Enable usage limit, one ceiling for all customers, counted on payment or on an open invoice.

Number of Cycles With Enable discount repeat, billing periods including the purchase: 3 means two renewals, 0 never stops.

Start Date With Enable start date, the code is refused until then.

Expiration Date With Enable expiration date, the code expires; off, never.

Who May Use It

Single use per client, new clients and existing clients need a signed-in customer.

Auto Apply Applies itself to a qualifying cart, no code typed. A single named product joins the cart and leaves with the coupon; groups, categories and domains add nothing.

Single Use Per Client One invoice per customer, whatever the coupon covers.

Single Use Per Order Stored but not read yet: every matching line still takes it.

For New Clients No active service; a fully cancelled customer counts as new again.

For Existing Clients The mirror of the row above; one on turns the other off.

Resellers Can Use Off, a reseller's cart refuses the code; on, it stacks on their pricing.

Coupon Combination Off, one code survives per order; on, two stack.

Use in Invoices Off, cart only; on, also on an open unpaid invoice, one each.

Admin Notes Free text customers never see; list search finds it.

Tasks

Creating a Code

Click Create, then type a code or click Auto Generate.
Pick % Rate or Fixed Amount and enter the value.
Narrow Products / Services and switch on any conditions.
Click Save Coupon. The code joins the list, Active at zero uses.

Giving a Product Away

Switch on Require specific products in cart and pick the product to buy.
In Products / Services pick the gift, not that product.
Set % Rate to 100 and switch on Auto Apply.
Click Save Coupon. The gift joins qualifying carts at zero.

Copying a Coupon

Open the row menu and choose Duplicate.
The copy opens filled in: code suffixed, usage zero.
Change what differs and click Save Coupon. The copy stays Inactive.

Stopping a Live Coupon

Open the coupon and switch on Enable expiration date with a past date.
Or set the usage limit to the number already used.
Click Save Coupon. The next cart is refused; earlier discounts stay.

Deleting Coupons

For one coupon, choose Delete from its row menu and confirm.
For several, tick the rows and use Apply to Selected.
A bulk deletion asks for Your Admin Password first.
The rows leave the list at once.

Things to Watch

Saving publishes the coupon at once

There is no on and off switch. The code is live as soon as you save it, unless a start date holds it. Retire one with a past date or a spent limit.

An expiration date ends at the start of its day

The last usable day is the one before it. A campaign running to month end expires on the first.

Deleting cannot be undone

The confirmation is the only warning. Invoices that already carry the code keep their discount.

Required Privileges

Everything here needs FINANCIAL_COUPONS; there is no read-only view.

Marketing also appears with FINANCIAL_PROMOTIONS, which reaches the menu but not the screen. Downloads follow TABLE_EXPORT.
