Task Planner
The shared list of internal tasks: who owes what, for which client, by when, and where the work stands.
Opening the Screen
Open Tools in the menu and choose Task Planner: {admin}/tools/tasks
What Is on the Screen
The Create New Task button above the list opens the task form. The list itself orders by status: Pending first, then In Progress, On Hold and Completed, newest first inside each group.
Fields
Tasks
Open a task
- Find the row, in the list or through the search box.
- Open its row menu and choose View.
- The task detail opens, where the status and the notes are updated.
Delete tasks
- For one task, choose Delete in its row menu.
- For several, tick the rows and choose Delete under Apply to Selected.
- Confirm the window. Deleting more than one asks for your password first.
Things to Watch
Administrators see every task. Other staff see the tasks they opened, the tasks assigned to them, and the tasks assigned to a department they belong to. A count that looks wrong is usually this filter at work.
A removed task cannot be brought back, and its notes go with it. Where the work is over, setting the status to Completed keeps the record and takes the task to the bottom of the list.
Required Privileges
The screen and deleting both need TOOLS_TASKS. Deleting a task that someone else opened is limited to administrators. The client name is a link only for staff holding USERS_LOOK, and downloading the list needs TABLE_EXPORT.
