With the Transfer Service we move your installation to the new server, and the old one keeps running until you confirm. The way back stays open, so you migrate without taking a risk.
Getting the Service
The service is bought from the store and billed once. It covers moving one installation.
We carry out the migration; the old installation stays until you confirm. Billed once.
What the Service Covers
A migration is more than copying data: the new server is prepared for WISECP and every part is verified.

| Scheduled tasks | The cron job is set up again on the new server. |
| E-mail and payment | Mail delivery and payment settings are verified in the new environment. |
| Server | PHP extensions, memory limits and OPcache are tuned for the new environment. |
The old installation stays
Nothing is shut down until you have checked the new installation and confirmed. If something is wrong you go back; after your confirmation the old installation is closed.
Tasks
Starting the migration
- Buy the service from the store.
- Open a support ticket and share access to both servers.
- When the migration is done, check the new installation.
- Post your confirmation on the ticket; the old installation is closed after that.
Things to Watch
You update the DNS record so the domain points at the new server. Both installations stay up while it propagates.
The preparation happens before the switch. Even so, it is worth planning the move for a quiet hour.
