Client Profile
Manage a client's identity and contact details, account security, billing exceptions, and saved cards in one record to keep the account current and controlled.
Opening the Screen
Open a client and choose the Profile tab: {admin}/users/detail?id={client}&tab=profile. Its four inner sections carry their own address, so a link can point straight at, say, the security section.
What Is on the Screen
General
The same fields the record was created with, plus what the account has gathered since: the client group, the account status, the registration and last-sign-in dates, and the notification preferences. Switching the account type to corporate opens the company fields. An individual account that already carries company details keeps them visible, so you can correct or clear them. One without any shows a short note in their place.
Security
Everything here applies to this client alone and overrides nothing else on the installation.
Cards
Cards the client stored themselves, for renewals and one-click payment. The panel never shows a full card number - only what is needed to tell one card from another. A card can be removed from here; it cannot be read out or used on the client's behalf.
Custom fields
The fields defined for your installation, shown as a form you can fill in and save. Each field keeps the type the installation gave it: text, long text, a list, a single choice, several choices or a date. A field hidden from the client or locked for the client carries that mark next to its name. You can still enter a value there; that is how a value the client cannot type themselves gets in. A field marked required must not be saved empty.
Tasks
Move a client to another group
- Open the General section and pick the group.
- Save. Group pricing and discounts apply from the next order onwards; existing services keep the price they were sold at.
Turn off two-factor authentication for a client who is locked out
- Open the Security section and use the disable action.
- Confirm. The client can sign in with their password alone, and can set the method up again themselves.
Exempt a client from an automatic action
- Open the General section and switch on the exception you need: never suspend, never cancel, no late fee, or tax exemption.
- Save. From then on the automation skips this client for that action.
Fill in or correct a custom field for a client
- Open the Custom Fields section and enter or pick the value; clear the field to remove a value.
- Click Save Changes. The client sees the new value under their account settings unless the field is hidden from them.
Things to Watch
Never suspend, never cancel and no late fee do not expire with the case that justified them. Set them for the few accounts that need it, and take them off when the reason ends.
Some methods need the client's own device to be set up, so the panel can only remove the requirement. Enabling it again is the client's job, from their account settings.
It is what they sign in with, and no two clients can share one. Changing it here changes their sign-in name.
Required Privileges
Reading the tab comes with the client record. Saving anything needs USERS_OPERATION; without it the fields are shown but the form cannot be submitted.
