Home Page Settings

The Home tab controls which sections appear on your website's homepage, in what order, and with what content, separately for each language.

Opening the Screen

Open Settings > Theme/Customization, then click the Home tab. It also opens directly at:

{admin}/settings/theme?group=home

What Is on the Screen

One sub-tab appears per active language, each with its own flag. Open a language to see its homepage sections, listed as rows with a name, an Enable checkbox, and a drag handle for reordering.

Each row also has a Settings button, which opens that section's fields in a dialog, and a Delete button. Delete stays greyed out for the sections your theme ships with. Only sections you created yourself can be removed.

An Add button below the list opens the same dialog empty, for building a new custom section.

Fields

The dialog only shows the fields that fit the section you are editing. Two built-in sections, Features and In Numbers, also let you add several items, each with its own Title, Icon, and either a Description or a Number.

Tasks

Adding a Custom Section

Click Add. Enter a Block Title, then fill in whichever of description, background, or HTML content your section needs. Click Create.

Editing a Section

Click a section's Settings button. The dialog shows only the fields that section type uses. Change what you need, then save.

Reordering Sections

Drag a row by its handle on the right to move it up or down the list. The new order applies to that language only.

Showing or Hiding a Section

Tick or clear its checkbox. This saves right away, with no separate save step.

Removing a Custom Section

Click the trash icon next to a section you created yourself. Built-in sections do not offer this button.

Things to Watch

Everything Here Is Per Language

Order, on/off state, and content are set separately for each language. A section turned off in one language can stay on in another.

Deleting a Custom Section Cannot Be Undone

Built-in sections can only be turned off, never deleted, so this button only appears on sections you created.

A Translated Homepage Needs Its Own Setup

Categories, featured software, and other section content do not copy from one language to another. Set each language up on its own sub-tab.
