Client Products and Services

99 vues Markdown

Review a client's orders and the services created from them in the same account context to understand purchase history and apply status actions to the correct records.

Opening the Screen

Open a client and choose the Products & Services tab: {admin}/users/detail?id={client}&tab=orders The sub-tab travels in the address as well: &ordersSubTab=orders opens the orders straight away, and without it the services are shown.

What Is on the Screen

Services The client's running and past services: service name, price and cycle, the created, renewal and due dates, and the status.
Orders The orders that produced those services: order number, date, amount and period, payment method, the related invoice and the status.
Bulk action Action buttons that appear in the list toolbar as soon as a row is ticked. For services: activate, suspend, cancel and delete; for orders: approve, cancel and delete. While nothing is ticked the strip stays out of the way.

A service is not an order

An order is the record of a request; a service is the running thing that request produced. One order can produce several services, and a cancelled order leaves the service it produced in a state of its own.

Tasks

Suspend a client's services

  1. On the Services sub-tab, tick the ones to suspend.
  2. Choose suspend from the bulk action.
  3. Confirm. The services move to suspended; leave the module option in the confirmation open for it to be applied on the server as well.

Approve a waiting order

  1. Switch to the Orders sub-tab.
  2. Tick the waiting order and press approve in the strip that appears.
  3. Confirm. The order becomes active and the services in it enter the provisioning flow.
  1. While the Orders sub-tab is open, copy the link from the address bar.
  2. Because the link carries ordersSubTab=orders, whoever opens it lands on the orders.

Things to Watch

Both lists are the main screens themselves

Services and Orders carry the same columns, filters and export as their own main screens; here only the client column is hidden and the list is narrowed to this account.

A bulk action can reach the server

Actions that change a service's status also run on the real server when you choose to apply them to the module. Suspending and cancelling close the client's account there and then.

Required Privileges

Reading the tab comes with the client record. The bulk action picker on both lists is only shown to staff who hold USERS_OPERATION.
