Domain Documentation Management
See which domain extensions ask clients for extra documents during registration, and manage that list.
Opening the Screen
Open Products in the main menu, then choose Domain Documentation. The screen opens at {admin}/products/domain/docs.
What Is on the Screen
An info banner explains that some extensions, such as .us or .ca, need extra information or documents before they can be registered. Above the table, an Apply to Selected list lets you delete the extensions you check, and a Create Documentation button starts a new one. The table lists every extension that already has a document requirement configured; open its row menu to edit or delete it.
Fields
Tasks
Adding a New Requirement
Click Create Documentation to configure the documents an extension needs. See Creating Domain Documentation for the form itself.
Editing a Requirement
Open the row menu for an extension and click Edit to change its documents or instructions.
Deleting a Requirement
Open the row menu and click Delete for a single extension, or check several rows and choose Delete from Apply to Selected. Confirm the action; deleting more than one at a time asks for your password.
Things to Watch
Removing an extension from this list stops asking clients for these documents. It does not change anything else about the extension itself.
Once you delete a documentation requirement, you have to recreate it from scratch to bring it back.
Required Privileges
- PRODUCTS_LOOK or PRODUCTS_GROUP_LOOK: open the screen.
- PRODUCTS_OPERATION: delete a requirement.
