Clients (By Country) shows where your clients are, on a world map and as a ranked list, so you can see which markets carry your client base.

Opening the Screen

Select WAnalytics in the sidebar, then open Clients and By Country on the report rail at the left. The direct address is {admin}/wanalytics/clients/by-country.

What Is on the Screen

The report opens with its own header, which carries the report name and the PDF button. This report has no period control: it always shows the current state of all clients. Below the header there are three blocks.

Figure rail: the number of clients and the number of countries.
Country Distribution: a world map with one circle per country, and a ranked list under it.
Clients (By Country): the country list, with a search box, a download button and a per page selector.

How many clients carry a country on their account and appear on the map.

Countries

How many separate countries those clients are spread over.

Map and ranked list

Map circle

One circle per country. The circle grows with the client count, so the busiest markets stand out without reading a single number.

Circle bubble

Click a circle to see the country name, the client count and that country's share.

Ranked list

The same countries in order, largest first. Every row shows its count, its share and a bar as wide as that share.

List columns

Country

Flag and country name, in the language of the panel.

Clients

How many clients are registered in that country. The list arrives sorted by this column, largest first, and the heading reverses the order.

Share

The share of that country in the list, to one decimal.

Search box

Optional. Searches the country name.

Tasks

Read the map

Drag the map to move it and use the zoom buttons at the corner to get closer.
Click a circle. The bubble names the country and gives its client count and share.

Type the country name into the search box above the list.
The rows and the record count are refreshed. Clear the box to bring every country back.

Take the report out of the panel

Click the PDF button in the report header to save the map, the figures and the visible rows as a document.
Click the download button above the list, then pick CSV, JSON or XML to save the rows as a file.

Things to Watch

Clients with no country are missing

A client whose account carries no country is left out of every block here. If the figure is well below your total client count, the gap is in your client records, not in the report.

Map and list can differ

The figures, the map and the ranked list are built from countries that carry location data. The list at the bottom covers every country. So its rows can add up to slightly more than the figure above.

What the file holds

Every row matching the current search is written, not only the page you see. Sorting is kept and paging is dropped.
