Domain Name Product Group Activation

To start selling domain names, you must first make sure that the domain name product group feature is enabled. First of all, check if the "Domain Name Service" product group under the "Admin Area > Settings > General Settings > Advanced" path is active. If it is active, you can continue.

Domain Name Registrar Settings

In order for domain extensions to be automatically activated via the API and all other transactions to be processed automatically, you need to work with a domain name registrar. You can reach the supported domain registrars on apps.wisecp.com/en?view=domains

If you work with a domain name registrar, operations such as "Domain Name Registration / Whois Update / Whois Protection / DNS Update / Name Server Creation" are done automatically through the API.

  • Domain Name Registrar Activation
To activate your preferred domain name registrar module, follow the path "Admin Area > Services > Domain Name Registration > Domain Name Registrars". On the left side of the page that opens, you can see the list of supported domain registrars. Click on the domain name registrar you want to work with on the left and define the necessary information related your domain registrar.
  • Importing from Domain Name Registrar
WISECP domain name registrar modules have "IMPORT" feature. This way, if you have previously registered domain names on the domain name registrar, you can easily transfer them to your clients. To do this, take a look at the "IMPORT" tab on the registrar page. (If the "IMPORT" tab is not visible, it means there is no API support.)

Reminder: In order for domain name orders to be registered smoothly by the registrar, you must make sure that you have an appropriate credit in your domain name registrar customer panel and that there is no API connection problem.

Adding a Domain Name Extension

You can easily add all domain extensions you want to offer domain name registration to the system. Please follow the steps below for this.

  1. Go to "Admin Area > Services > Domain Name Registration > Extensions and Prices".
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Add New Extension" button in the bottom left corner.
  3. After defining the relevant fields in the window that opens, click the "Create" button.

Manage Domain Name Extensions

Managing domain extensions is very easy with WISECP. To manage extensions, follow the path "Admin Area > Services > Domain Name Registration > Extensions and Prices". On the page that opens, there are a large number of domain name extensions listed as standard. Explanations of all titles in the extension list are given below.

  • Extension
It is the fixed name of the extensions. (For example: .com / .net / .org.)
  • Pricing
You can determine "Registration / Renewal / Transfer" costs and selling prices separately for each domain name extensions. Prices are calculated automatically from 1 year to 10 years. If the extension is linked to an API, the cost and sales amounts are updated "AUTOMATICALLY". When you click on the pricing button, a window opens and you can manually determine the extension's sales currency and amounts within the window. Then close the window and click the "Update Extensions" button at the bottom of the page.
  • Promotion
You can set promotions for domain extensions. To do this, click on the "Promotion" button in the list. In the window that opens, you can activate the promotion and determine the promotion sales amounts and the end date of the promotion. If the domain extension is linked to the API, promotions are activated and run "AUTOMATICALLY".
  • Module
You can connect the domain name extension to a domain name registrar module to run it automatically. In this way, all transactions are carried out automatically through the API. You can choose different API modules for each extension. Before selecting a module, the registrar must have module information already set.
  • Status
Optionally, you can activate / deactivate domain extensions. New sales cannot be made for domain extensions that are inactive.

Bulk Update Domain Extension Prices

If you want, you can update the sales prices of all extensions in bulk with a single click. In this way, instead of determining prices for hundreds of domain extensions one by one, you can define a fixed profit rate and collectively define the sales prices. The system will check the cost information of extensions connected with the domain name registrar module via API and automatically calculate the sales price with the profit rate you have determined.

Follow the path "Admin Area > Services > Domain Name Registration > Extensions and Prices" to update the extension prices in bulk. The relevant part is located in the upper right corner of the page.

Identifying Spot Domain Extensions

To determine the extensions on the homepage of your website and on your web page where all extensions are listed, follow the path "Admin Area > Services > Domain Name Registration > Extensions and Prices". Click on the "Service Group Settings" button in the upper left corner of the page. On the page that opens, you can edit from the "Extensions to display on Home" and "Extensions to display in client area" fields. You can also make many other adjustments on this page.

Other Settings

All other extension settings can be made via the "Settings" button in the upper left corner of the page. In this way, you can provide bulk adjustments such as Currency Change, DNS Management, Whois Privacy, EPP Code, Document Requirement. You can also sort extensions by "drag / drop" on the list.

Domain Order Management

When you receive a domain name registration order, you can see it on the "Admin Area > Orders" path. If you are using the domain name registrar module for domain name management, you do not need to take any further action as orders are processed automatically. If for some reason the order cannot be completed successfully, the system sets the status of the order to "In Progress", sends you a "Failed Activation Notification" and shows you a warning in the admin area.
