Sending Feedback to WISECP
Send a bug, an idea or a question straight to the WISECP team, with a marked-up screenshot attached. You report the problem while it is still on your screen, without opening a support ticket.
Opening the Window
The window opens from two places on every page of the panel: the Report a Problem button on the right edge, and the Send Feedback link at the bottom of the page.
On the ticket detail page the edge button is not shown; that edge belongs to the next-ticket button. The footer link stays on every page.
Both entry points appear while WISECP keeps the feedback channel open. The panel learns that decision from the daily update check. If scheduled tasks have not run yet, or the installation runs in demo mode, the window is not shown.
What Is in the Window
A single form. A short note at the top, three fields below it, then the privacy line and the Send button.
Capture modes
Captures taken from the page get a strip at the top with the page address and the date. In real-screen mode the strip is added when you share the browser tab.
The marking window
After a capture, the Mark the Screenshot window opens full screen. The top bar holds three tools plus Undo and Clear. The picture sits in the middle; Discard and Use This Screenshot sit at the bottom.
A picture takes up to 20 marks. Undo or Ctrl+Z removes the last mark; Clear removes them all. Discard drops your changes; a screenshot added earlier stays in place.
Tasks
Sending a report
- On the page where the problem happened, click the Report a Problem button.
- Pick the type, write the description and add a screenshot if it helps.
- Click the Send button.
- The form gives way to the Feedback Received message with a reference number under it.
When the team closes the report (completed, already done or declined) an email goes to your account address. A completed report also names the release that carries the fix.
If the report is refused, the reason appears in an alert at the top of the screen. Possible reasons: text under 20 characters, a picture over 3 MB, too many reports in a short time, text caught by the spam filter, or a closed channel.
Adding a screenshot
- Click the Add Screenshot button. For another mode, click the arrow next to it and pick Select Area or Real Screen.
- The window hides for a moment and the capture is taken. In area mode drag the rectangle; in real-screen mode pick the tab or screen in the browser's dialog.
- Place your marks in the marking window and click Use This Screenshot.
- The form returns; the card shows a thumbnail, the size, and the number of marks and hidden areas.
Changing or removing the screenshot
On the preview card, Edit reopens the marking window with the same picture. Retake takes a new capture in the same mode. Remove Image drops the picture from the report.
Things to Watch
The description, the picture, the page address and title, browser and window details. Also the panel version, the PHP version, the license plan, the last four characters of the key and recent browser errors. Your name and email are attached as the reporter. Nothing is stored on this installation. Everything visible in the picture reaches the team; pixelate private details before you send.
When the connection drops or the channel is closed for a while, an alert appears. Your description is kept in the same browser tab and comes back when you reopen the window. If you change pages the picture is lost; take it again.
WISECP opens the channel; the panel learns the decision on the daily update check. If scheduled tasks are not running, the entry points never appear. To refresh right away, open Help, Updates and click Check for Updates. While an update offer is on the page, the button shows only a circular-arrow icon; its name appears on hover. On an installation whose license is not recognised, sending is refused; refresh the license under Help, License Information.
Required Privileges
There is no separate privilege; every staff member who signs in to the panel can send one. In demo mode the window is not shown and sending is disabled.
