Connect GoDaddy to sell domains and manage customer domain renewals, contacts and transfer settings from WISECP.

Accessing the Screen

Open Products → Domains → Domain Name Registrars → All Modules → GoDaddy: {admin}/module/registrars?module=GoDaddy.

What Is on the Screen

Module Settings contains credentials and nameservers. Import lists existing domains. This integration has no extension price import, automatic cost update or cost currency setting.

Preparing API Access

1. Sign in to GoDaddy’s developer portal. In the authentication guide, select Classic Developer Key. Generate a key for Production and copy both Key and Secret; the secret is shown once.
2. WISECP uses Domains v1 with this classic key/secret pair. It does not accept a PAT.
3. Confirm account eligibility for domain management and purchasing. GoDaddy requires a domain or a plan granting management access, plus billing eligibility for paid operations. Check current account requirements.
4. For testing, obtain credentials accepted by the OT&E environment. Confirm access with GoDaddy if your account only offers production credentials.

Connecting and Testing

1. In Module Settings, select Test Mode and enter the OT&E key and secret.
2. Click Test Connection beside Save Changes. The test requests the domain list; it does not purchase a domain.
3. On success, click Save Changes. Reopen the form and check its mode. No separate server record is needed.
4. Before production, replace both credentials and disable Test Mode. Test and save again. Changing the mode alone does not replace credentials.

Assigning Extensions and Importing Domains

1. Open Products → Domains. Add the extensions you sell or edit existing ones and assign GoDaddy as registrar.
2. Set registration, transfer and renewal prices manually. Compare them with your provider costs before enabling sales; GoDaddy costs are not imported here.
3. For domains already held in GoDaddy, return to its Import tab. Assign customers, check dates and click Import.
4. Check each created service’s customer and expiry date. Import creates local services without purchasing or transferring domains.

Registration, Transfer and Renewal

Complete domain owner details, extension requirements and nameservers before registration. Inbound transfers require the former registrar’s unlock and EPP code. WISECP sends the purchase or transfer request and monitors transfer status. Renewals use the requested year count.

GoDaddy can charge the account’s payment method or funded balance. Check provider orders and the domain expiry date before repeating a failed request. A timeout does not establish that no purchase occurred.

Managing a Domain

Open the domain under Orders → Services. DNS allows nameserver changes. This integration does not provide DNS record editing, child nameservers, DNSSEC or separate domain/email forwarding screens.

WHOIS reads contacts and updates the owner profile. Transfer manages the transfer lock. Get Auth (EPP) Code reads the code returned by GoDaddy; an absent provider value cannot be displayed.

Privacy can be enabled or disabled where supported; purchasing the privacy addon can create a provider charge. Customers use their own service according to permissions and active addons. Status and expiry synchronization are available. Expired-domain recovery is not provided.
