Realtime Register SSL
Connect your Realtime Register account to sell its SSL certificates with automatic ordering and margin-based prices.
Accessing the Screen
Go to Products → Product Group Modules, open All Modules and click the Realtime Register SSL card. Address: {admin}/modules/product?module=RealtimeRegisterSSL.
Screen Overview
Before You Start
Create an API key under Settings in your Realtime Register account. Note the customer handle your certificates are billed to, as shown in the control panel. Prices come from that customer's price list. This module is configured separately from the Realtime Register domain module.
Settings Fields
Tasks
Connecting the Account
- On the Settings tab, enter Customer Handle and API Key. Set OT&E Mode for that account.
- Click Test Connection. It checks the API key from the form against the selected environment, without saving it.
- Click Save Changes below the form. A confirmation message appears.
The test needs both values but verifies only the API key. The customer handle is checked when you import the catalog.
Importing the Catalog
- Save the settings first: the catalog uses the saved customer handle and key, not the form.
- Open the Catalog tab and enter Profit Margin (%). The default is 30.
- Click Import Catalog. The message counts the products created and those that already existed.
When nothing can be imported, the message gives the reason. The customer handle may be missing or unknown, the account may offer no certificates, or its price list may have no prices for them.
The import creates the SSL Certificates category with DV, OV and EV subcategories. It also adds the order requirements, such as the CSR code and validation method. Certificates with SAN pricing get an Additional SANs add-on. Running it again only adds what is missing. Terms longer than three years are skipped.
Keeping Prices Current
Click Sync Prices to reread the costs and reapply the margin to imported products and SAN add-ons. Turn on Automatic Price Update to repeat this every day through scheduled tasks.
Importing an Existing Certificate
- Open the Import tab. It requires at least one product that uses this module.
- Enter the Certificate ID shown in your Realtime Register account. Choose Client, Product and Billing Cycle.
- Click Import. The certificate becomes a service of that client.
Products and the Client Area
Each product sells one certificate. On the product's Automation tab, Module Configuration holds Realtime Register Certificate and Included SANs. Imported products have Automatic Setup on, so a paid order is placed at Realtime Register without approval.
In the client area, the customer can reissue the certificate, resend or change domain validation, add or remove SANs and download the certificate. The service page shows Certificate ID and Process ID; validation details are read from the process.
Important Notes
With OT&E Mode off, every paid order places a billable order at Realtime Register. Imported products are active and visible at once, so import into the live account when prices are ready.
Costs and sale prices are saved in the currency of your Realtime Register price list. Keep its exchange rate current. If WISECP has no such currency, the amounts are saved in your default currency without conversion.
Suspending a service changes its status in WISECP only. The certificate stays valid at Realtime Register.
Required Permissions
Requires PRODUCTS_API to open and configure the module.
