The whole affiliate programme on one screen: partners, withdrawal requests, referrals, and the rules that govern the programme installation-wide.

Opening the Screen

Open the affiliate screen under Clients in the menu: {admin}/users/affiliate Each of the three tabs carries its own address.

What Is on the Screen

Partners Every affiliate in the programme. Filtered by status and date; the bulk action applies to the ticked rows together.
Withdrawal Requests Partners' requests for their money. Filtered by client, payment method, date and status; approving and rejecting can be done in bulk.
Referrals The clients and services partners brought in. A client or a service can be assigned to a partner by hand from here.
Configuration The button at the top right opens the programme's installation-wide rules. Everything there applies to every partner.

Configuration

The programme's rules are gathered in one window:

Affiliate System Whether the programme is on. Off, clients cannot become partners and referral links do nothing.
Non-Member Affiliate Page On, the landing page can be read without signing in - for a visitor who wants to see the terms first.
Standard Commission Rate The percentage that stands where a partner has no rate of their own.
Commission Period One-time or lifetime. It can also be changed on a partner's own card.
Commission Deferral (Block) How many days after a payment the commission reaches the partner's balance. It exists so a cancellation or refund does not cost you.
Cookie Validity Period How many days a referral link counts for after it is followed.
Minimum Payment Amount The lowest balance a partner needs before they can raise a withdrawal request.
Referral URL Redirect Where someone who follows a referral link lands. Empty means the home page.
Show Commission Rates Whether the rates are printed on the landing page.

Tasks

Start the programme

  1. Open the configuration and switch the affiliate system on.
  2. Set the standard rate, the period and the deferral in days.
  3. Save. Clients can become partners from their own panel. Each one can also be switched on from the Affiliate tab of their client record.

Approve withdrawal requests in bulk

  1. On the Withdrawal Requests tab, filter the status down to pending.
  2. Tick the ones you are paying.
  3. Choose approve from the bulk action. Partners see the status in their own panel.

Attach a client to a partner by hand

  1. Switch to the Referrals tab.
  2. Pick the partner and the client or service to attach.
  3. Save. The referral is written to that partner even if the cookie period has passed.

Things to Watch

Approving a withdrawal records it as paid and deducts its amount once. Approving an already paid request leaves the balance unchanged. If the balance is insufficient, the request keeps its current status. Rejecting or deleting a paid request restores its amount once. These actions record the payout status; they do not send money through a payment provider.

Deferral is your only protection against refunds

With deferral at zero the commission reaches the partner's balance the moment payment is taken. If the order is refunded later you have to claw the commission back. Choose the number of days to match your refund policy.

These settings apply to everyone

The configuration window governs the whole programme. To give one partner a different rate or period, use the Affiliate tab on that client's detail page. The value there overrides this one.

Cookie period and commission period are different things

The cookie period answers "for how long after the click does this partner get credit". The commission period answers "once credited, which orders earn commission". A short cookie with lifetime commission is a valid arrangement.

A minimum payout in an unconvertible currency stops payouts

If the minimum payout is stored in a currency that is inactive or has no rate, it cannot be expressed in the partner's wallet currency. The payout button stays closed and a request is refused with a message asking the partner to contact support. Move the minimum to an active currency to reopen payouts.

Required Privileges

Viewing the screen comes with client access. Saving the configuration, processing withdrawal requests and assigning referrals need USERS_OPERATION.
