METUnic
Connect your METUnic reseller account to register, transfer, renew and manage .tr and other extensions from WISECP.
Accessing the Screen
Open Products → Domains → Domain Name Registrars → All Modules → METUnic: {admin}/module/registrars?module=METUnic.
What Is on the Screen
Module Settings holds the connection, nameserver and cost settings. Import lists the domains in the account, and Import Extensions lists the extensions METUnic sells with their costs.
Preparing API Access
- Sign in to the METUnic client portal and ask the partnership team for reseller API access if it is not enabled. Use your reseller account's username as the API username.
- Load prepaid credit into the account; registrations, transfers and renewals are paid from this balance. Without enough credit METUnic refuses the request and the service stays pending; check the Credit Balance row before retrying.
- If API access is limited by IP address, ask METUnic to allow your WISECP server's outgoing IP address.
- For testing, request separate credentials for api-test.metunic.com.tr. A live account cannot sign in there.

Tasks
Connecting and Testing
- Enter API Username and API Password; check Test Mode only with test credentials.
- Click Test Connection beside Save Changes. The test signs in; it places no order.
- Click Save Changes and reopen the page. The Credit Balance row now shows the account balance.
Importing Extensions
- Open the Import Extensions tab. An extension already defined in the system carries a green tick and cannot be selected.
- Tick the extensions you sell and click Import. Each extension is added to Products → Domains → Extensions and Prices as inactive, with METUnic assigned. A one-year cost and sale price is written for registration, renewal and transfer; sale prices apply your domain profit rate.
- Check the prices in the row's Pricing window. If you sell longer registration periods, enter the prices for those years too; customers can only choose years that have a price. Then activate the extension.
- Import turns the EPP Code option on for every extension; transfer orders ask for the EPP code. If it is off on an older extension, tick its EPP Code box and click Update Extensions. When Automatic Cost Updates is on, the daily update turns the option back on.
Importing Domains
- Open the Import tab. Active and paid domains in the METUnic account are listed with their dates; pending records are not listed. Domains already registered in the system appear in green.
- Select a customer on each row you import and click Import. An active domain service is created for that customer without any purchase.
- A domain whose extension is not on the Extensions and Prices page is skipped; the result message names it with the reason. Import the extension first, then the domain.
Registration, Transfer and Renewal
For a .tr registration the registrant type comes from the billing address, then from the account profile. A person needs a national identity number; an organisation needs its company name, tax office and tax number.
The province is matched from the WHOIS contact's State field, the billing address province or the City field. If the province or country is not on METUnic's list, the registration stops and the reason is shown. An address line over 50 characters continues on the second line.
Other extensions are registered with the WHOIS contact details. WISECP first checks the contacts in your METUnic account; a contact with exactly the same details is reused, otherwise a new one is created.
On a retry, if the domain is already in your METUnic account, no new order is placed; the existing record is linked to the service. If another active service in the system holds the domain, the registration stops and the error names that service.
Inbound transfers, .tr included, start with the EPP code the customer entered. A renewal uses the years paid on the invoice and is charged to the credit balance. While METUnic has not processed a paid renewal, the status check keeps the expiry date.
Registration Nameservers
METUnic needs at least two nameservers to register a domain. The order's come first, then the customer's defaults, then the general default. The general default is the Name Servers field in the Product Group Settings window of the Extensions and Prices page; the sample ns1.example.com values there are ignored. With none of them, the job's error on Tools → Module Queue asks for nameservers. Once they are defined, click Run Now in the job's row menu. When METUnic refuses a request, the error carries METUnic's own explanation.
Managing a Domain
Open the domain under Orders → Services. The DNS tab changes nameservers and child nameservers; DNS record management is not offered. A nameserver change is sent only while the registration is active at METUnic; otherwise the error shows its status. The list is then read back, and a warning appears if it differs.
Renaming a child nameserver adds the new record, then removes the old one. If the removal is refused, the old record stays; delete it from the list.
The WHOIS tab updates contacts for non-.tr names. The Transfer tab reads the EPP code and changes the transfer lock for every extension, .tr included. WHOIS privacy is not offered.
Things to Consider
The METUnic API offers no holder change for .tr names. Do it in the METUnic panel; WISECP explains this when it is attempted.
Both import tables send only the selections on the page you are viewing. When the list has more than one page, select on each page and click Import separately.
Required Permissions
Setup and both import tabs require Domain Name Registrars permission. EPP Code and price changes on the Extensions and Prices page require the Edit permission under Products. Service operations require their corresponding service permissions.
