# ISPConfig

Connect ISPConfig to WISECP to manage hosting accounts and their websites from each service record.

## Accessing the Screen

Open **Products → Servers → Add New Server**. Select **ISPConfig** under **Server Automation Module**. Edit existing records from the server list.

## Before You Start

Prepare an ISPConfig Remote User with access to client templates, clients, websites, mail, databases, FTP and cron functions. Use that remote username and password, not a customer login. WISECP needs network access to the Remote API and PHP cURL.

Sales require an active server, an available module license and a hosting product priced in your chosen currency. Saved servers have **Preferences**, **Linked Services** and **Import** sections.

## Connection and Product Settings

- **Address / Hostname**: Both required. Use the panel host without a URL path. The default port is 8080 with SSL enabled or disabled.
- **Username / Password**: Both required. Enter the Remote User credentials. There is no separate API token field.
- **Verify SSL Certificate**: Enabled for new servers. Keep SSL and certificate verification enabled. Use Custom Port selects a different port.
- **Identity and Capacity**: Monthly Cost starts at zero; choose its currency. Maximum Accounts defaults to 200 when blank. The occupancy alert follows this limit. Nameservers accepts four lines.
- **Client Template**: Optional. In Automation → Module Configuration, select a main client template by name. Addon templates are excluded. Selection fills resource limits.

## Tasks

### Connecting the Server

1. Complete **Connection Details** and click **Test Connection** in the server summary.
2. The test logs in and reads client templates. Success does not prove permission to create or delete accounts.
3. Complete **Identity and Capacity**, then click **Add New Server**; verify the list entry. When editing, use **Save Changes**.

### Mapping a Product

1. Select **ISPConfig** in the hosting product’s **Automation → Module Assignment** section.
2. Under **Server Configuration**, choose **Single Server** or **Server Group**. Set **Module Configuration → Client Template**.
3. Check **Resource Limits** and prices. Keep the initial product hidden and **Automatic Setup** disabled.
4. Click **Save Changes**; verify the product’s server and plan mapping.

Disk and traffic limits use MB. Mailbox, database, website, subdomain, FTP and alias-domain counts follow the template; -1 means unlimited. Hourly email throughput has no matching limit. Creation and template changes apply the panel template limits; editing WISECP display limits alone does not change that template.

Provisioning creates a client and the primary website. A failed website step can leave the client created; inspect both before retrying. No saleable addons or order requirements are created automatically.

### Linking Existing Accounts

The list shows clients and their first primary website. Check missing domains and duplicate client usernames. The list does not retrieve passwords; an empty result can also follow an API failure.

On the saved server, click **Import → List Results**. Select accounts and map their client, product, cycle and dates. Click **Import** below the list; verify the existing account appears in **Linked Services** without being recreated.

### Managing the Service

Account creation, suspension, reactivation, termination, password changes and template changes are supported. Suspension locks the client and attempts to disable its websites. Check websites and mail separately; a successful result does not prove they stopped. In **Management → Settings → Change Client Template**, select a template and click **Save Changes**; its limits apply to the client.

Administrators and customers open permitted hosting tools from the service’s **Management** tab. Tools disabled in server **Preferences** are hidden. See [Service Management](https://docs.wisecp.com/en/service-management) for action dialogs.

FTP accounts can be created, edited and deleted. Databases and database users can be added or removed; user renaming, password changes and privilege editing are unavailable. Addon domains, subdomains, email accounts and cron jobs support management actions. Cron notification email is unavailable. DNS, SSL, file manager, PHP version and webmail tools are not offered here.

The panel link opens the normal ISPConfig login page; it does not sign the customer in automatically.

The disk and traffic gauges show quotas, but their used values are zero because this module has no consumption source. Zero does not prove no usage. Resource counts come from account lists. Automatic usage billing is not supported.

Before enabling automatic setup, compare **Management → Overview** with the panel on an existing test service. Plan selection does not periodically synchronize a product catalog or provider prices.

## Important Notes

> **Account Changes**
> 
> Termination deletes the client and all its resources. Several websites under one client are affected together. Back up the account before termination or reducing template limits.

## Required Permissions

Server settings require **MODULES_SERVERS_SETTINGS**; product editing requires **PRODUCTS_OPERATION**. Service actions require their corresponding service permissions.
