# Services (Overview)

https://docs.wisecp.com/es/services-overview

See what new services and renewals earned in a chosen period, and how those services split across products and countries.

## Opening the Screen

Open **WAnalytics**, then choose **Services** and **General Overview** in the left rail: `{admin}/wanalytics/services`

The chosen period travels in the address, so a report can be passed on as a link: `{admin}/wanalytics/services?filter[range]=2026-07-01 - 2026-07-31`

## What Is on the Screen

The left rail holds the report groups. Services has four sheets and this is the first one. Everything below covers the period selected in the date field at the top right.

- **New Services**: Revenue from services created in the period, with the number of services under it. Cancelled services stay out.
- **Renewals**: Revenue from renewal and period-extension invoice items paid in the period, with the number of invoices. Add-on, licence-transfer and software orders on existing services are not counted here.
- **Service Value**: New service revenue plus renewals for the period.
- **Avg. Service Value**: New service revenue divided by the number of new services.
- **Change badge**: The badge beside a figure compares it with the previous period of the same length, the one ending where this period starts. When that period had nothing to compare against, the badge says **New**; a change above 999% is shown as **999+**.
- **Service Trend**: Two plots on one date axis: revenue above, the number of new services below. Up to four months there is one point per day; longer periods are grouped by week, periods over two years by month. Renewals are not included.
- **Service Distribution**: A ranked list of the busiest buckets, each with its count and its share of all services in the breakdown.

## Fields

- **Date Range**: The period every figure and chart is built from. Quick ranges sit in the calendar-range menu beside the field: **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Last 7 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, **This Month**, **Last Month**, **This Year**, **Last Year**; your own dates are picked in the calendar. Not required; until you choose one, the last 30 days apply.
- **Service Distribution**: Which breakdown the ranked list uses: **By Product** (the default), **By Country**, **By Status** or **By Billing Cycle**. Product and country show the top eight buckets and add the rest up into one **Other** row. By Status is the one breakdown that also counts cancelled services. By Billing Cycle leaves one-time services out, so its total sits below the other breakdowns.
- **Apply**: The button beside the date field. It opens the report again with the range that stands in the box, even when you have not changed it.

## Tasks

### Change the period

1. Click the date field at the top right of the report.
2. Pick a ready choice. The page opens again at once and every figure, chart and list now covers that period.
3. For your own dates, click the date field, mark a start and an end in the calendar, then close it (click outside); the page reloads with that range.

### Read another breakdown

1. Go to the **Service Distribution** section.
2. Choose a breakdown from the selector next to the heading.
3. The list comes back for the same period. The rest of the report stays as it was.

### Download the report as PDF

1. Click the PDF button at the top right of the report.
2. The file is prepared in your browser and downloaded.
3. The date field, the selector and the buttons stay out of it. Your logo, domain and the period remain on the document.

## Things to Watch

> **Cancelled services stay outside**
>
> New Services, Service Value, Avg. Service Value and the trend leave cancelled services out, so a count here can be lower than the service list for the same days. Those services have their own report.

> **What counts as a renewal**
>
> An invoice item counts here when it is paid in the period, belongs to a service and is a renewal or period-extension line. The dashboard Orders widget uses the same rule, so the two agree apart from tax and invoices paid from account balance. The first payment of a new service belongs to New Services.

> **Amounts are converted**
>
> Services and invoices in other currencies are converted into the installation's local currency at today's rates. A figure for an old period can read differently once rates move.

## Required Privileges

Reaching the report needs the **WANALYTICS** privilege. Without it the screen answers with an access warning instead of the report.
