# Migration Service

https://docs.wisecp.com/es/migration-service

The Migration Service is for the cases the bundled migration tool cannot handle. If your panel is not supported, or your data will not transfer as it stands, our engineers run the migration.

## Getting the Service

The service is bought from the store and billed once. It covers one source system into one installation.

## When You Need It

The migration tool ships with WISECP for WHMCS, Blesta and WISECP v3, and it is enough for most moves. This service starts where the tool stops.

| Case | What is done |
| --- | --- |
| Unsupported panel | We migrate from ClientExec, HostBill, in-house software, or nothing but a database dump. |
| Customised schema | Our engineers write the mapping for non-standard fields and tables. |
| Records that will not transfer | Records the tool cannot carry are handled by hand. |
| Broken data | Incomplete, inconsistent or duplicated records are repaired. |
| Data covered | Clients, services, invoices, support tickets and domains. |

### The service starts where the tool stops

On the panels it supports, the migration tool is free and you can run it yourself. You need this service in two cases only: your source panel is not supported, or the tool runs but your data will not transfer as it stands. In both we analyse the source data, write the mapping and code whatever conversion is needed.

## Tasks

### Starting the migration

1. Buy the service from the store.
2. Open a support ticket and share the source system, its version and access details.
3. Our engineers review the data, write the mapping and run a trial migration.
4. Approve the result; the live switch runs at a time you choose.

## Things to Watch

> **Try the free tool first**
>
> Coming from WHMCS, Blesta or WISECP v3, the migration tool is usually enough. Run it before buying the service; you need this service only if data is missing or transferred incorrectly.

> **Scope follows the data**
>
> The timeline and scope are agreed after the source system and record volume are reviewed. Unusually large datasets are assessed separately.

> **Your old system stays up**
>
> You keep working in your old system until the live switch. Downtime is limited to the switch itself.
