# ResellerID

Use your ResellerID account with WISECP to manage domain sales and bring existing domains into customer service records.

## Accessing the Screen

Open **Products → Domain Names → Domain Registrars → All Modules → ResellerID**: `{admin}/module/registrars?module=ResellerID`.

## What Is on the Screen?

### Prepare the Account

Use an active reseller account with domain, contact, customer, pricing and DNS API access. Allow this server’s outgoing IP in the provider’s API settings. Find the user ID under **Settings → Personal Information → Primary Profile** and the key under **Settings → API** in the compatible panel. Confirm the current account, IP authorization and compatible API access with ResellerID before entering credentials; its public website could not be verified.

The module requires PHP cURL and intl, plus HTTPS access to httpapi.com or test.httpapi.com. There is no endpoint field or separate server record.

## Settings

- ****User ID****: Required, initially empty. Use the reseller ID belonging to the chosen live or demo account.
- ****API Key****: Required, initially empty. Enter the same account’s key, not its login password.
- ****Test Mode****: Off by default. Selects test.httpapi.com; it does not turn live credentials into a demo account.
- ****Default Nameservers****: Four initially empty fields. The first two have required markers. When both are not supplied, service defaults use system nameservers.
- ****Automatic Cost Updates****: Off by default. Enable it to retrieve costs and populate the extension import list.
- ****Cost Currency****: Required for correct costs. Match the provider account currency; the initial selection comes from the system’s currency list.

## Tasks

### Test and Save the Connection

1. Obtain a separate demo account compatible with this module. In **Module Settings**, enter its credentials and enable **Test Mode**.
2. Click **Test Connection** beside **Save Changes**. It reads an active-domain list without ordering a domain; success confirms access, not every operation.
3. Click **Save Changes** to store the settings. Testing alone does not save them.
4. For live use, enter live credentials, clear **Test Mode**, test and save again. Verify the saved account before assigning extensions.

### Import Extensions and Domains

1. Save the cost settings, then open **Import Extensions**. Select extensions and click that tab’s **Import** button.
2. Under **Products → Domain Names**, inspect the registrar and selling prices. Import can update existing extensions using the configured profit rate.
3. For existing provider domains, open **Import**, select active domains and match customers and dates. Click the tab’s **Import** button.
4. Check each new service’s owner, registrar and expiry. This creates WISECP records; it does not buy or transfer domains. Expired domains are absent from this list.

### Manage and Verify Services

Open the domain under **Orders → Services**. Use the linked DNS, WHOIS and transfer guides below for the exact controls. Clients use their own domain service’s management sections when service status, permissions and enabled add-ons allow them.

- Supported operations include availability, registration, transfer, renewal, nameservers, child nameservers, WHOIS contacts, transfer lock and privacy.
- Registration creates provider customer/contact records as needed. Supply accurate contact details and extension-specific eligibility fields.
- Extra fields cover IDN language, .asia contact ID, .au eligibility/warranty, .br organization and hosting details, .fr terms, .quebec/.scot intended use and .tel publication.
- DNS supports A, AAAA, NS, MX, CNAME, TXT and SRV. It reads only the first 50 records per type. Priority is not sent; verify MX/SRV settings in the provider panel.
- Child nameserver views expose the first IP only. DNS changes affect service availability; verify authoritative nameservers and existing records first.
- Synchronization reads status and expiry; transfer synchronization does not resubmit the transfer. Costs use one-year registration, transfer and renewal prices.
- Restore, DNSSEC, URL/email forwarding and balance queries have no dedicated implementation here. Provider offerings do not imply module support.

Before sales, use a domain in a confirmed demo account and keep its test extension unavailable for ordering. Check matching status and expiry in WISECP and the provider panel. Verify admin and client controls separately; inspect the error when a request fails instead of repeatedly submitting it.

## Important Notes

> **Live Operations and Privacy**
> 
> Live credentials may perform real operations even with Test Mode selected. Registration, transfer, renewal and the WHOIS privacy add-on can charge the provider balance. Disabling privacy does not establish a refund.

> **Authorization Code Changes**
> 
> Requesting an authorization code generates and saves a new code at the provider. The previous code stops being valid; this is not a read-only check.

## Required Permissions

Setup requires **Domain Registrars**. Extension changes require **Products → Edit**; service actions require the corresponding service permissions.
